Find freedom to ‘be the best you’ you can be
Our church is passionate about helping people on their journey towards wholeness and freedom. We want people to have life-transforming experiences that help them know more of God’s love and enable them to live life to the full. Sozo is one of the pastoral models we use here to help people to find freedom as followers of Jesus and develop healthy relationships with God and one another.
What Is “Sozo”?
‘Sozo’ is the Greek word that translates ‘Saved,’ ‘Healed,’ and ‘Delivered’ and it is used over a hundred times in the New Testament. The word Sozo encompasses everything about being made whole, well and free.
“Jesus turning and seeing her said ‘Daughter take courage your faith has
made you well (sozo) and at once the woman was made well (sozo).” Matthew 9:22
The Sozo ministry is a unique, gentle inner healing ministry, led by the Holy Spirit. It aims to quickly get to and deal with the root of things that are hindering your connection with Father God, Jesus and Holy Spirit. It is not a counselling session.
Sessions can run from 1.5-2.5 hours and are conducted with two sozo team members. The sozo team will sit down with you, and with the help of the Holy Spirit, walk you through the process towards freedom, wholeness and growth in your connection to Father God, Jesus and Holy Spirit.
“Sozo is a powerful, yet gentle ministry that aims to deal with the things that are stopping us from connecting deeply with God. We thoroughly recommend this to everyone in BVC.” Steve and Viv Bateman, Lead Pastors, BVC
During A Sozo Session You Can Expect To:
-Hear directly from God for yourself.
-Receive healing from issues of hurt, pain and unforgiveness.
-Close doors from the past that are having a negative impact on your present.
-Expose lies you have been believing and replace them with God’s truth.
-Deepen your relationship with God to enable you to fulfill your destiny.
-At the end of a Sozo ministry time, you will have a list of the good things God has said to you to take away.
